Asake's Projects creates practical pathways to economic mobility through structured training, business readiness, and the tools women need to earn from their craft.
Building skill into income for women in Nigeria.
— WHAT WE DO
One country. One focus. Real outcomes.
Asake's Projects is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on building income pathways for women and underserved communities in Nigeria. We work where we know the ground, where our relationships run deep, and where our work can be measured.
We don't promise transformation in the abstract. We build programs designed around a single question: what does a woman actually need to earn from her skill? The answer is training, business knowledge, mentorship, and the right tools at the right time. Every program we run is built around that answer.
Our work spans three areas: skills development for sustainable income, business and enterprise readiness for emerging artisans, and basic provision like food, clothing, and water — where the need is immediate.
— FLAGSHIP PROGRAM - 2026 PILOT
Asake’s Projects’ Women's Tailoring Incubator
A six-month skills, business, and enterprise readiness program for women in Lagos and Ondo State.
Our flagship program moves women beyond basic skill acquisition into real income generation. Participants receive structured tailoring instruction, practical business training and mentorship. At graduation, they will each receive their own sewing machine to begin earning from day one.
Duration: Six Months
Cohort Begins: August 2027
First Graduates: January 2027
— OUR FOCUS
Why Nigeria.
Across Nigeria, talented women have the desire to work, create, and earn — but lack access to structured training, business support, and the equipment needed to turn skill into income. The gap is not motivation. It is infrastructure.
Nigeria is where our leadership has roots, where our community relationships are strongest, and where we can operate with the insight and accountability this work requires. By focusing here, we can measure progress honestly, learn from every cohort, and build programs that hold up to real scrutiny.
*** When the model is proven, expansion becomes a question we'll be ready to answer. Until then, our focus is here.
